This piece is the first in a series of javelinas. The colors used are inspired by the prickly pear cactus, a favorite food of javelinas. Gold flecks accentuate the face, like freckles coming out in the sun. The back has been stamped with a handmade linocut stamp of a prickly pear. This piece was sculpted solid, then hollowed and compressed, making it lightweight and strong. The back piece includes a place to hang from, hanging hardware will be included with this order.
