About

I am an animal enthusiast and ceramic sculptor based in Long Beach, CA. I earned my BFA in Ceramics from Buffalo State in 2012.

Much of my work is an exploration in movement, expression and color. I form figures as if the breeze is blowing through their fur and give them colors reminiscent of the scenery I imagine them in. Sometimes the sun is shining, sometimes they’re under a blanket of stars. I try to capture a moment of peace, joy or just kind of funny, everyday moments. Have you ever made eye contact with someone right before they sneeze? That’s what I’m after.
In 2022, I started introducing linocuts into my work and they continue to grow and evolve. I enjoy building loose, flowing patterns, each stamp nearly identical but imperfect in its own way.
